Here are a few top tips to help you slow down.

Top tips for slowing down and enjoying life

  • When writing your to-do list for the day, work out how long you think each task will take. Now add a little extra time for contingency. It won’t make much difference to your schedule for the day, but it will give you a little leeway for things that take longer than expected, and reduce the need to for a frantic rush by lunchtime.
  • Now remove anything that you don’t need to do.
  • Don’t schedule or accept any meetings that are not absolutely necessary and never schedule two or more that to run consecutively.
  • Get up fifteen minutes early and leave the house in plenty of time for your commute.
  • Always do important things first – no need to panic if you do run behind schedule
  • If possible, start and finish work at a different time. Work out your most productive times for you to be at work, and make the most of them.
  • Don’t jump as soon as you get a new email. Turn off notifications and have set periods to check that pesky inbox.
  • Be mindful of your mindset. Keep positive as much as you possible can; you may be amazed by the difference it can make.
