Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm until 4.30pm, either on a sun-soaked Terrace, overlooking the hotel’s private gardens or indoors in the Lounge. Priced from £37.50 per person, the afternoon tea menu includes Eggs Savoury, a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, chocolate and hazelnut slice and mulled wine jelly. A Bollinger tea is also available.

The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at Fortnum & Mason was opened by HM The Queen in 2012, replacing the St James’ Restaurant. Fortnum’s have been sourcing tea for over three hundred years and serving afternoon tea since 1926, making it the perfect venue for your treat. Choose from Indian, English or Chinese teas to accompany your selection of hot savouries, sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and a selection of cakes and patisseries. This Soho hotel offers guests the choice of selecting individual items to create their own afternoon tea or going all the way with a Townhouse Tea. The Townhouse Tea, which includes sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, fancy cakes and tea for £16.75 per person. If you prefer to choose what you would like to eat, the menu includes such delights as Battenberg cake, poppy and orange cake, a selection of finger sandwiches, buttered crumpets and scones. This particular afternoon tea doesn’t just offer the traditional cucumber sandwiches and scones with clotted cream; the menu includes triple-decker sandwiches, green-tea scones with gooseberry compote, pear, lemon and polenta cake and chocolate and sour cherry brownies. Less traditional but just as delicious!
