Creative children’s competition this Bank Holiday
Children’s Story Competition and Young Illustrator’s Competition
These competitions are ideal opportunities for young people to write a story in under 1000 words or to illustrate and it means it gives them something creative to do this bank holiday weekend if it rains (again!) and keeps them out of your hair for a few hours.
This year the titles to choose from are:
- Sports Day Fiasco
- Ruddy, Sam and Ondine
- The Intergalactic War
- Rage
- The Magic Pot
There are cash prizes plus the chance to be published. The winner of the Young Illustrator’s Competition will grace the front cover of the Children’s Story Book.
The entry fee is £5 per story / illustration and the deadline is midnight Sunday 31 October 2010.
You can send your stories by post or online, and your illustrations by post only to Chapter One Promotions, Canterbury Court, 1-3 Brixton Road, London, SW9 6DE. Please include your contact details on a separate sheet. Check their website for guidelines at www.chapteronepromotions.com or e-mail at kidskorner2@chapteronepromotions.com.
So if you have a budding Shakespeare or Picasso in the family, now is the time to let them unleash their talents!
