Doors Open Day organised by the Scottish Civic Trust in September is your chance to snoop around places that aren’t normally open to the public. Some of them only do this once a year. Do a search in your area or maybe plan a day out . How about going backstage at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh or poking around the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glagow?
