100th RHS Chelsea Flower Show – Last Few Tickets
The world-famous Chelsea Flower Show is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, as it returns to the Royal Hospital from 21st-25th May. The Royal Horticultural Society has plenty in store for visitors to the centenary, so why not add it to your diary for next weekend? A limited number of tickets are still available to buy from the RHS.
The Great Pavilion will feature fantastic displays incorporating favourite flowers from the time of the show’s origins in 1913, alongside the more modern varieties of the present day. A photographic display of the 100 years of the Chelsea Flower Show will also be in place, showcasing the history of the iconic event. This photo exhibition is particularly special, as the exhibits were submitted by members of the public as part of a competition run by the Royal Horticultural Society earlier this year. The wide ranging entries have been compiled to create an outstanding picture of the history of the show.
During your visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, you can browse the delights of the Show, Artisan, Fresh and Generation Gardens, immerse yourself in the wonders of the Great Pavilion nursery and even visit the on-site shops to take a little of the floral beauty home with you. The trade area at the show will have a range of antiques, garden furniture, ornaments and workshops available.
Of course, you will want to enjoy some food and drink during the day and, again, the organisers have some treats in store. Choose from the Rock Bank Restaurant, Refresh Champagne Bar, Rock Bank Food Court or Thames View Food Court amongst others. Picnics, champagne, cocktails, hotpots, Mexican Baja bowls, carvery, Ploughman’s lunches…what more could you ask for?
