All Good Things Must Come to an End – London’s April Pop-ups

Here at cushion the impact we firmly believe that a change is as good as a rest and variety is the spice of life. In other words, we are definitely fans of the pop-up. Restaurants, bars, events… sometimes temporary is best and here are just a few of the limited time only establishments we’ll be visiting this month.

When Mac Met Cheese

Who doesn’t like macaroni cheese? When Mac Met Cheese is in Bayswater until early June, offering mac and cheese balls, truffles, three varieties of mac and cheese and deep fries Oreos to all who give in to temptation. As if a cheese-filled menu wasn’t enough to convince us to visit, When Mac Met Cheese also has a fantastic cocktail list!

43-45 Porchester Road, Bayswater, W2 5DP Email: whenmacmetcheese@gmail.com

After Hours

Do you consider dessert, coffee and cocktails to be the best parts of a meal? If so, After Hours is the pop-up for you. The team will be bringing their four-course tasting dessert menu to independent coffee shops around London on various dates and next up is Ozone Coffee in Shoreditch on 18th. If you can’t make it to this particular event, it’s well worth subscribing for updates. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to sample the work of London’s top pastry chefs, after all.

Sakura at Sake No Hana

From 7th April until 19th May, the arrival of spring will be celebrated in this fabulous pop-up cherry blossom garden. The bar will be decorated with pink cherry blossom, scented with Jo Malone’s blossom-scented candles and guests will be invited to choose from a selection of cherry blossom related cocktails. Sakura Cherry Iced Tea, Hanami Bellini and Sakura Crystal Double-Layer Bento Box are just a few of the floral delights on offer. Don’t forget to try the Cherry Blossom Macarons…

Coney Island Party

If fairground follies, freak show entertainment and rock n roll dancing sounds like a great night out, you need to be at Coney Island Party on 12th April. Resident DJs will play a mix of 50s rock n roll, 60s French Pop, Latin rhythms, swing, shuffle and slide as guests limbo, enjoy the fairground attractions and take part in the midnight hot dog eating contest. We’re fairly sure this is the most eccentric, kookiest pop-up in town.

Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, 42-44 Pollard Row, E2 6NB Telephone: 020 7739 7170
