Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’s prestigious annual event, the Collars & Coats Gala Ball, will take place on Thursday 8th November 2012.
Battersea Evolution will be home to the fourth Gala Ball, which promises to be one of the unmissable events on London’s social calendar. In a year in which London has played host to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Olympic Games and Paralympics, that is quite an achievement! The “Best of British” themed event will be hosted by Paul O’Grady MBE and Amanda Holden.
While the line-up has not been announced as yet, previous headliners include Brian May, Roger Daltrey, Status Quo, Lulu, Escala and a live performance of Phantom of the Opera. Aside from the performers, guests can expect to rub shoulders with the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Simon Cowell, Craig Revel-Horwood, Anthony Head and Nicky Clarke, who have all attended previous balls.
One of the most unforgettable aspects of this event is the unique red carpet entrance. Upon arrival guests enter the venue by walking along a red carpet flanked by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’s very own Guard of Honour: blue-coated Battersea dogs and their handlers. A champagne reception and gourmet banquet will be followed by an auction donated by the Home’s supporters.
