End of year gifts for teachers
Believe it or not, the school summer holiday is about to start again. In fact, if you live in Scotland, it will already have started! Depending on whether you have children or not, you may welcome this as a few weeks of quiet roads and a quicker commute or dread it as seemingly endless weeks of bored children demanding entertainment! If you fall into the latter category, chances are you will need to find an end of year gift for your little darling’s teacher before it all begins. Obviously enough, what constitutes a great gift depends on the individual receiving it, but here are a few ideas which are sure to be well received.
Literary tea towels – We can almost guarantee that your child’s teacher will not receive a duplicate of this gift! The Literary Gift Company have several different designs on offer, including a literary map of Britain, Scrabble tea towel or a choice of books such as Alice in Wonderland, The Railway Children and The Wind in the Willows. If you like the idea of a literary gift but a tea towel doesn’t quite hit the spot, The Literary Gift Company have a large range of book-themed jewellery, mugs, home wares, stationery and more on offer.
Music note cufflinks – Like most of the other men in our lives, male teachers can be a bit trickier to buy for. If you want to stay away from the obvious options of alcohol and chocolate, why not look into getting a nice pair of cufflinks. We love these ones, particularly for music teachers! Each cufflink is different as they are made from actual pieces of sheet music and no two sections look the same.
Mini cupcake chocolates – Honestly, who in their right mind wouldn’t appreciate a gift like this? Hotel Chocolat is a great place to find deliciously edible gifts and this mini chocolate cupcake stand caught our eye straight away. Ok, so a gift of chocolate isn’t very imaginative or original but the presentation makes all the difference!
Chase Williams apple gin – We’ve established that chocolate gifts don’t need to boring and it would appear that the same applies to gifting a bottle of something nice. A far cry from a cheap bottle of wine when you have no idea what to buy, this apple gin offers something out of the ordinary, with notes of juniper, apple, elderflower and hops. Chase Williams also make marmalade vodka, which sounds equally intriguing.
Pretty stationery – You can’t go far wrong with something pretty from Paperchase. In fact, there are so many perfect gifts on offer that we couldn’t choose just one. Whether you choose from the range of patterned journals, pencil cases, pens or opt for a photo frame, decorated tray or similar gift, this is a very easy and relatively inexpensive way to find a great gift when you have limited knowledge about the recipient. Given their job, some nice stationery is bound to come in useful at some point!
