Feed me, feed me! London Restaurant Festival 2014
The London Restaurant Festival is back from 8th-27th October with fantastic events in store for foodies. Whether you are something of an expert in the field of gastronomy, or you (like us!) are simply fond of trying a new restaurant or two, don’t miss this citywide celebration of eating out. Trying something new, enjoying outstanding food and you won’t even need to do the dishes afterwards – this is definitely a festival we can get on board with.
London Restaurant Festival events
Some of the events scheduled for the London Restaurant Festival are expected to be so phenomenal that they have already sold out. At the time of writing, the following events have tickets available, but you will need to be quick to get your hands on them.
- Eat Film – Enjoy a three-course dinner hosted by renowned photographer, Rankin, and inspired by Cinema Paradiso. The evening also includes a complimentary cocktail, a screening of the film and a box of gourmet popcorn.
- Champagne Laurent Perrier Gourmet Odyssey– Go on a gastronomic tour of London by booking a spot on one of these foodie field trips. Have a champagne reception in one restaurant, your starter in another, main course in a third and dessert in yet another of London’s finest eateries. Choose from the Discover East London, Discover Hotels or Discover America tours.
- Cicchetti Trail – Another tour of some of the finest restaurants in London, this time focussing on the 6 best cicchetti venues in the city. Enjoy Italian tapas and drinks on the Cicchetti Trail each Saturday during the festival. If Italian isn’t your thing, try the Japanese Journey, Tapas Tour, Carnaby Village Tour or Chinatown Tour instead.
- Cassoulet Celebration – Ordering a cassoulet at a participating restaurant during the festival will earn you a complimentary glass of Languedoc-Roussillon win to accompany your meal. Full list of restaurants is still to be confirmed so make sure to check the website for updates before you go.
- Spleat Supper Club – Use the London-based Spleat app to pay for your meal after you book a table for six or more at a participating restaurant and receive a complimentary drink and £5 each off the bill. Simply download the app and choose which registered restaurant to dine at.
- Kids’ Sushi Masterclass – Let the little ones join in on the fun by booking them onto a sushi making class at Inamo. Open to children aged between 7 and 16, the day will involve making ten pieces of sushi, a tour of the Inamo St James kitchen and complimentary tea and coffee for the accompanying adult. - Terence Higgins Trust Supper Club – The piece de resistance, this evening of dinner parties rounded off with a spectacular after party, is happening on the 8th Sign up to host a dinner party for between 10 and 20 of your friends, book Supper Club tickets and enjoy an absolutely out of this world night. Again, tickets are limited to you will need to book very soon.
