It’s Not Only Hollywood Personal Assistants Who Get Weird and Wonderful Requests…
We’ve had quite a few over the past decade or so too! This article we read recently in the Independent set us to thinking about the less common requests clients have entrusted us with.
The next time you wonder whether your task can be delegated to us , rest assured that it can’t be any more eccentric than tasks we’ve already done. As we’ve said before, our only limitations are the law (and we’re quite keen on morals too!)
Here are a handful of the more unusual requests we’ve had, and we have completed every single one of them too.
- Keep two heat sensitive pet komodo dragons alive when the electricity to the flat went off in winter
- Source in the US (New Jersey) a specific brand of Greek yoghurt for a pregnant woman with cravings, who had loved it in London but who had moved to Utah where they didn’t sell it
- Buy a bath for a client … he had decided what he wanted but wanted to confirm it would be long enough for him. One of our Lifestyle Managers, who was a similar height and build, went to the shop to lay in it while on the phone to the client who was in New York on business. It was both comfortable and long enough and he now regularly uses it!
- Arrange a clean-up and repairs after a squirrel went on a rampage through a client’s newly decorated and furnished lounge
- Restock a fish tank after the client’s cat had had its dinner
- Buy 20 pairs of tartan socks. We never did discover why!
- Buy over the counter medicines, hot water bottle, glossy magazines and flowera for ill girlfriend when boyfriend was away
- Hand deliver a long stemmed pink rose every day for a month to a newly wed wife as her husband had been unexpectedly sent abroad on business
