London 2012 Paralympics Tickets

How to Get Tickets for the London 2012 Paralympics

The Paralympic Games are the world’s second largest sporting event in scale and size and the schedule  contains the full details of the 11 days of competition, including the times and venues for over 300 sessions across 20 sports in 20 venues.

You can apply for tickets to the London 2012 Paralympic Games between 9.00am on Friday 9 September 2011 and 6.00pm on Monday 26 September 2011.  There is no advantage to submitting your application on the first day or the last day. However, London 2010 recommends you don’t leave it to the last day and rush your application as the system couldn’t cope last time!

They also recommend that you spread your selection across different types of sessions, for example morning preliminary rounds as well as medal and weekend sessions.

You can only submit one application, whether you apply on this website or using the official Paralympic Games paper ticket application form which can be collected from Lloyds TSB branches in the UK(or Bank of Scotland in Scotland only) and libraries inNorthern Ireland between Friday 9 September and Friday 23 September 2011.

For sessions where demand for tickets exceeds supply, London 2012 will use an automated and random selection process (‘ballot’) to ensure the fairest possible allocation of tickets. The aim of the ballot is to maximise the number of different applicants who are allocated tickets to the Games.

If you would like to apply online for tickets to the London 2012 Paralympic Games, you need a London 2012 ticketing account. If you haven’t already created an account, you can make a start by registering your interest

As before you can only pay using a Visa Card, if you do not have one and want to buy tickets please visit the Visa website for more information on how to one. You can, however, pay by cheque or postal order if applying via the paper application form.

Full price tickets start at £10. Special prices are available in all sessions (except the Opening and Closing Ceremonies) for young people aged 16 and under at 29 August 2012 and seniors aged 60 and over at 29 August 2012. Paralympic Games tickets for young people and seniors will cost just £5. Special prices are available for wheelchair users in all sport sessions.
