Talli Joe
Operating on a “half plates and full drinks” basis, Talli Joe is the newest kid on the excellent Indian food-based London block. The current sample menu includes kale chaat, Nihari on veal bone marrow, Goan pork and offal pickle on coconut rice cake and naan stuffed with cottage cheese and brushed with truffle ghee. Enoteca Da Luca
Small sharing plates and outstanding Italian wine are order of the day at the new Enoteca Da Luca on Old Street. Spread over three floors, this new restaurant uses sustainable ingredients from an array of small, artisan Italian producers, ensuring that the menu includes only excellent quality food. The extensive wine list is very attractive too!

Counter Culture
This tiny Clapham eatery technically opened its doors in April, but it’s so good we’ve deemed it deserving of a place in our May blog. What’s a few days amongst friends? With only 15 seats and no telephone so no bookings, Counter Culture serves their own range of pickles, condiments and other accompaniments to high quality meat, fish and vegetables. It’s also BYOB.
