Now we’re into July, most of us are counting down to our eagerly-awaited summer holidays. If you would like to get into the party spirit before you travel, have a look at our guide to the pop-up bars appearing in London this month. If you loved the National Theatre’s Propstore pop-up last year, you aren’t alone. After being voted one of the best pop-ups of 2012 by the Evening Standard, Propstore is back for a second season. Open from noon every day to serve a fantastic selection of street food, Propstore will also host DJ nights on Saturdays, until 17th August. If you pay a visit, don’t forget to keep an eye out for Propstore’s USP: a range of genuine props from the theatre. This year’s Spot The Prop includes flooring and a train set from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, lighting from Frankenstein, a goose puppet from War Horse and a music box from Hansel and Gretel.

This one cannot fail to get you into the holiday spirit! Imagine a Cuban lounge garden combined with bright Tiki colours and you have Portside Cabana. Open for eight weeks this summer, the bar offers the freshest Pina Colada in London and a range of delicious cocktails created from seasonal fruits and herbs. The London Fields venue will open on Saturday and Sundays from 12pm until 7pm, and is available for private hire on Fridays.

Every Wednesday night this month, Wine Wednesdays will take over the Skyroom at London Bridge, turning the fifth floor venue into the home of some amazing food and wine combinations. The theme for the month is Summer Playlist and the Grape Night In team has been working hard to make this a summer to remember. Visitors can choose between the full experience of three dishes and three accompanying wines and a welcome cocktail for £25 or just popping in to enjoy the more casual side of this pop-up wine bar.
