Time Management – 4 Quick De-Stressing Tips

BY cushion the impact

Stress is a major part of modern life. We are all so busy, all of the time, that it can seem like you never get any “you time” or the chance to wind down properly. While you are adopting your new, improved time management skills, try some of these de-stressing techniques and enjoy a little relaxation.

  • Breathe. Taking a few slow, deep breaths will reduce your stress levels instantly. Sit back, relax as much as possible, inhale deeply through your nose and then breathe out slowly through your mouth, making sure you fully exhale.
  • Spend a minute or two with your pet. Did you know that scratching a dog behind the ears has a positive effect on you as well as the pooch? Research has also shown that spending time with a pet lowers blood pressure.
  • Scream! Letting it all out will do you good. We don’t recommend practising this particular technique in public…
  • Dance. It’s impossible to be sad while you’re having a boogie. If you don’t want to dance, or you’re not in a suitable location, listen to your favourite song. It’s guaranteed to make you feel better.
